It's dark, it's soft with some pokey out bits some of which are sharp and hurt; it's like anyone else's head really.

Hey...

Happy New Year, everyone.

This year I will strive to think in the positive. I will devise ways to say and think that will not be negatives; I will "get to" do things, not "have to" do them.

I will send my writing out to as many agencies as I can find.

I will not fear the unknown. I will look forward to the adventure.

I will strive to remind myself that I am a good person, no matter what former friends may think. I will wake each day being thankful for the good things that have come to me and find positive ways to fix the things for those things that were the old me.

I love you people, the way you come and read this blog, and keep me in your thoughts. I am thankful for you.

Christmas Eve

I'm celebrating Christmas. It feels so unreal. I've make three batches of sugar cookies, double batches of fudge and Needhams, three batches of double chocolate chip cookies (for Santa; Aidan, 9 years old, requested that I make these especially to leave out for the jolly old elf because, "they are your famous best cookies ever!") I also cooked three pies, apple, blueberry, and pumpkin, Mrs. Smith, bless you and your important work. I prefer the take out of the freezer stick into a preheated oven kind of pies. I've never had good luck with crusts. However, the Santa cookies were from a mix, the candy and sugar cookies I made from scratch.

Now I'm really tired.

The fam is back from Christmas eve at Darrell's family's house, so I'm off.

Have a good holiday, y'all.

...All But The Lingering Cough

I'm not sick anymore. Yay! There's no snow on the ground. Yay! There's sun coming through my bedroom window. Yay!

This whole "Christmas Thing" is not affecting me as much as I thought it would. The tree is trimmed and gifts under it but the lights aren't on all the time so for me it can fade into the background. The only thing that's pissing me off are the long lines in stores, it's not so bad if the people in line will play and be silly, but sometimes it can be cold and dark and last you the rest of your life.

I've gotten a couple of small things, because it's not right to live in a place and not give the family something even if its in honor of a holiday I don't celebrate. I'm going out tomorrow with Eva and Theanna to finish off what I have to do.

I never thought I'd have to go Christmas shopping again. By next year I hope to be back to my pagan ways.

Ick

I'm sick. It started with Ian, then Jeron got it, then Theanna got it, then she, goddess love her, gave it to me. It's my own fault; she didn't want to tongue kiss and I pushed it.

Actually, I used her lip stuff. Same thing.

I started feeling stuffy four days ago. Day two there was a certain amount of sneezing and I was worn out most of the time; most of the day was spent sleeping. Day Three the coughing started but I didn't feel as sick as I do today. I'm sneezing and sneezing, my nose is raw because I ran out of tissues; am now using toilet paper. Every time I breathe it sounds like a flock of pissed off birds that are heading south late in the year.

Theanna was feeling better by day three, me; I've decided to stay sick for the winter. Crap.

I know I said I didn't celebrate...

But I'm living in a household with children so I have to celebrate and
I don't see why I shouldn't cash in...um...I mean get in the spirit.

Here is something I would like to have so I could start working on metal to make jewelry.

Pretty!
