2 mental patients, boyfriend and girlfriend, are both institutiinalized. the woman is let out but not the man, ( and he really doesn't want to be out).
the woman commits suicide shortly after her release.

OK, there's this pregnant police officer in a small town in Minnesota, see, and then there's this used-car dealer who arranges to have his wife kidnapped in a foolish attempt to make some quick money because he's been cooking his books, see, and Steve Buscemi ... oh, wait ...
